What is Integrative Baby Therapy?
Integrative Baby Therapy (IBT) explores the profound impact of early experiences, including time in the womb and birth, from the baby’s perspective. It recognizes that these formative moments leave lasting imprints on the nervous system, influencing how we react to stress and navigate transitions throughout life.
If you or your baby or child are experiencing unexplained stress, anxiety or difficulties especially during life transitions then feel free to either:

How can Integrative Baby Therapy help you and your family?
My integrative baby therapy sessions can help facilitate transformative healing by addressing your earliest imprints and help with the healing process.
They help you to:
- Identify and understand by using a range of techniques, including creative play, movement and mirroring to decode ‘womb statements’ and ‘baby body language.’ This deep listening helps you understand your and your child’s earliest experiences.
- Manage the healing process as my approach supports you in processing these foundational experiences, facilitating healing through witness and acknowledgment.
What techniques do I use to help?
Intuitive Listening: I tune into your or your child’s vocal expressions and movement patterns to gain insights into your or their early life experiences.
Creative Interventions: Through playful and movement-based techniques, I help you or your child to express and process your or their experiences.
Body Somatic Therapy: Working with and tracking the body felt sense to address and heal physical and emotional imprints from early life.

How does Integrative Baby Therapy work?
Integrative Baby Therapy (IBT) provides a unique space for individuals to explore and express underlying prenatal or birth experiences that remain active in their psyche or subconscious. These early experiences are often preverbal and may manifest as seemingly out-of-place or irrational behaviours and feelings in the present.
What happens in an Integrative Baby Therapy session?
Sessions are conducted in a quiet, peaceful environment and are designed to be calming and supportive. You will be treated fully clothed, and sessions typically take place either in a comfortable chair or on a cushioned mat on the floor. All therapeutic interventions are permission based, ensuring that you feel comfortable and respected throughout the session.
Intuitive and Perceptual Work
I work intuitively, guided by perceptual awareness, to follow the flow of events as they unfold during the session. This often involves tracking body sensations and may include gentle contact with specific areas of your or your child’s body, as needed.
For children, an integrative baby therapy session includes therapeutic play, which helps build rapport and allows the child to express their prenatal or birth story through their use of space and toys.
I will periodically check in with you or your child to understand and acknowledge any feelings, sensations or emotions that arise during the session. This helps to ensure that the therapy remains responsive to your needs.
How will I feel after an Integrative Baby Therapy Session?
Each person’s journey with an Integrative Baby Therapy session is unique, and how you feel afterwards can vary based on your personal history and the work done during the session.
- Relaxation: Many clients report feeling deeply relaxed and spacious after a session, experiencing a sense of calm and well-being.
- Emotional Processing: Some clients may experience emotions coming to the surface as they process and integrate early experiences.
- Physical Adjustments: It’s also possible to experience physical symptoms as your body readjusts and realigns following the session.
