The Johansen IAS Programme

  • To listen to CDs;
    • a simple CD player with no base boost is required together with good over-the-ear headphones (not sound reduction ones).

Please see the information below.

  • For downloads;
    • an app needs to be installed onto an Apple or Android device. This app is available from the Apple Store or Play Store and costs £8.99.
    • The download takes, on average, 20-30 minutes to install                                          and is accessed via a PIN which will be provided.
  1. To be able to use the downloaded version, the internet connection must be stable, and a wired connection is preferrable over wi-fi.
  • Good over-the-ear regular headphones with no sound reduction such as brands/models made by:
    • AKG include K-52, K-72, K-92, K-240.
    • Sennheiser models include HD 206, HD 4.20, HD 4.30i.

Many are available from www.amazon.co.uk or search via Google.

The Listening Programme

Music is either:

  • Preloaded onto an I-pod Touch supplied by Learning Solutions (cost on application)
  • Or downloaded via a free app from the App Store or Google Play onto an Apple or Android device such as a PC / Apple Mac / I-pad / Laptop / I-phone / Android Phone

 

  1. To be able to use the downloaded version, the internet connection must be stable, and a wired connection is preferrable over wi-fi.

 

Headphones – these must also be regular Air Conduction Headphones with no sound reduction and can be purchased online via www.amazon.co.uk and/or other electrical retailers.
